New York hunters, and whitetail enthusiasts everywhere, have news worthy of celebrating thanks to swollen harvest numbers. The increased harvest is an indication of the overall health of the deer herd, and New York seems to be on the right track.

To purchase a Florida Hunting License if the hunter was born on or after June 1, 1975, and 16 years or older, the hunter must pass a hunter safety course unless using the Hunter Safety Mentoring Exemption. The mentoring exemption allows certain hunters to purchase a one-time only Florida hunting license without completing Florida hunter safety training.

Florida Hunter Safety Course Requirements

The newest and most convenient way to have your new hunter take their hunter safety class as required by most states is to take an online hunter education course.  The hunter safety course can be taken when a student wants to take it and where they want to take it as long as there is an Internet connection.  Here are the three steps for Hunter Education certification.

1.    Take an Online Hunter Education Course.

To hunt in Kentucky you need to carry a valid hunter education course completion card if you are born on or after January 1, 1975.  You will also need a valid Kentucky hunting license.
