Archery Trade Association Annual Show in Louisville

The Archery Trade Association’s (ATA) annual trade show for the industry begins its three-day run (January 7-9,2013) in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Exposition Center.  The archery industry’s largest show is a member-driven event to promote commerce within the archery and bowhunting industry. 

It has always been important to responsible sportsmen, but now more than ever with the anti-gunners looking to take away our Second Amendment rights it is important to lock up anything that the media could use against us. That includes, bullets, bows, arrows, broadheads, knives and more.

The NRA reports that Senator Diane Feinstein’s (D-Calif.) new gun-ban bill will probably be introduced January 22.  From all reports this bill will be an even more restrictive bill from the assault weapon ban and large ammunition magazine ban of 1994-2004.

Secure Firearm Products (SFP) will unveil two products to the shooting industry at the upcoming Shot Show in January 15-18, 2013 (Booth # 1008).

Tree stand hunting is far and away the most popular and, for most hunters the most successful method of harvesting a whitetail buck.

Over the years I’ve hunted out of ground stands, tree stands and blinds with great success, but for me, no hunting experience matches the exhilaration of going one on one with a wily, dominant buck on his own turf.

It all comes down to making the right shot, and making the right shot requires luck or a lot of practice. While I would discount the success of luck, I wouldn’t count on it either. Which of course leaves lots of practice.
