The National Rifle Association holds it annual meeting for 2013 this weekend in Houston with plans to rally the membership to continue to defend the 2^nd amendment after temporary victories in Washington, but a vow by gun control advocates to continue press for gun control legislation.  Outdoor Roadmap will be one of more than 70,000 in attendance for the three day “Stand and Fight” themed events that includes a gun trade show, political rally and a strategy meeting.

To purchase a Connecticut Hunting license you must be 10 years or older and have held a resident license in the respective sport (firearms hunting, bow hunting or trapping) within the last 5 years or the person has a certificate indicating successful completion of a Connecticut Hunter Education course (or recognized equivalent) in the respective sport for which they are applying.

Hunter Education Training is required to obtain a Virginia hunting license if the Virginia hunter was born on or after January 1, 1975.  If the hunter is 10 years old or above, the individual may opt to take the classroom portion of the hunter education course online.  The hunter must present the hunter education certificate of completion to the Virginia hunting license agent.
