New York hunters, and whitetail enthusiasts everywhere, have news worthy of celebrating thanks to swollen harvest numbers. The increased harvest is an indication of the overall health of the deer herd, and New York seems to be on the right track.

Whether you are looking to fill the freezer or just a pre-deer season tune up, hogs are a ton of fun to hunt. Add to that a higher quota and the potential to hunt for free and you can only be talking about the wonderful folks from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). And just why would they up the quotas and lower the fees? Because the areas are over run which ups your odds bagging a tusker!

Starting in 2013, Browning has committed to the introduction of a new High Grade Program. Each year, two exquisite and new firearm models will be added to the High Grade line. In some states, such as Florida, spring Turkey hunting season is well underway, while in others such as Kentucky, spring turkey hunters are just preparing for opening day on April 13, 2013. In Texas, turkey hunters have been able to pursue the elusive Rio in some counties while the Eastern season is just starting on April 15, 2013 in 28 eastern counties.

Here are some simple to follow directions with illustrations for taking care of your bird to get it from field to kitchen for further preparations to either cook and share now or store for later enjoyment.  Clean the bird first by following these four easy steps and then choose between skinning it if you prefer roasting or frying, plucking if you are a deep fry or smoker fan or you can fillet the breast out only if your state allows that option.
