The Le Grand Traverse Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will conduct a tree planting project at the Traverse City State Forest Area (just south of Copemish, Mi), on Saturday, April 21, 2012 .
According to Paul Huffman, participants are to meet in the Michigan Department of Natural Resource (MDNR) Yates Road Clear-cut Site at 10 a.m. The entrance to the MDNR parking area is at the intersections of Plagany and Thompsonville roads. The work project will begin with a brief orientation. Attendees should dress for the occasion and bring a shovel and work gloves. A box lunch will be provided.
